my mom had ordered the wrong instax camera for me for christmas so she had to send that one back/reorder/wait for film/etc. today i was sitting in the kitchen and the UPS guy dropped a package off and i instantly got filled with joy because i realized it was the camera! i was expecting it next week or later because there was such a long wait on film. maybe i get a little too excited about things? oh well. ANYWAYS. the mini instax camera is so cute & easy to hold. you can't really tell from this scan but the photos are super clear. i was really impressed. these photos are credit card sized, i love it. i want to go crazy and take pictures of everything but the film is basically the same price as polaroid. i'm trying to find a place online to buy the film in bulk because i feel like it would be a lot cheaper that way.

while i'm talking about awesome, new things: PEACH-MANDARIN VITAMIN WATER. holy moly give me one million bottles of it.

there is a snow "storm" going on right now so we're hiding inside. i don't mind if the snow comes pouring down if everyone in my family/my friends aren't on the roads.

it's been awhile since i showed off my tattoos. i feel like the scissors need touched up. i want more but am not sure what i want yet. i'm thinking about a dolphin jumping through a ring of fire with some stars and butterflies. (totally kidding. that was not to be taken offensively. do you know how much crap i deal with because of mine?)

day off work; unable to sleep so i woke up early, made cheesecake for tonight's little dinner party, washed the dishes, went to the post office to send letters & spent too much money on postage stamps, ate a croque-monsieur, organized all of my music, downloaded some new music, trudged around in the snow. by the way, the snow today is so light & fluffy it looks fake!

in march i will have had this journal for SEVEN YEARS. holy moly that's a long time.

so, i have thought long and hard about it.

i was going to stop posting here. i was trying to think about where i could move it to, or if i should even continue at all to try and communicate directly like this with y'all. it isn't that i don't enjoy it or that i think something like this is so great that it should be considered a reward... it's not... but it's just that this place, our bloggy community, had become something that i hoped it wouldn't.

not sure if you will agree or disagree but i feel like "paramoremusic" is on the up and up. not really sure where we are at with "paramoreband" but i guess we shall see in time. i'm going to keep posting here. i'm not going to reply to negative comments, so as not to encourage any more stupid people to come in and get some sort of rise out of me... and if i do my part then i hope you all will do your part to encourage more positivity around this place.

the thing that i hope everyone takes away from this direct line we have to you guys is the fact that just because we may have a song on the radio, or sold "this many" records and done "this many" things... we are just the same as we've always been. sure, we've changed. BUT. we are the same 5 people who started the band in 2004. we don't believe any hype that may be written about us... and we all realize that in one single day it could all be gone. what matters is this. the connection. that's what outlives any good write up... it outweighs the number of records sold... it means the most. and that's why i can't let any negative hype that is created right here push me away from keeping this thing going.

so again, do your part and i'll do mine. the guys (if they decide to come in and post haha) will do theirs.

jared bought me an ipod touch! for a long time i was really anti touch screen but i like it now. i know i wouldn't want it as my phone though. there is a mad libs app! (and frogger <3)

on christmas morning we opened presents and went to my uncle's house for brunch. egg casserole, fruit, homemade yogurt & cinnamon rolls, mmm! then we played this game called "pass the pillow" which was the silliest game i've ever played. amish always come up with this crazy ideas. christmas was nice but something felt off this year. i wasn't as excited for it, it came really quickly, i was in a blah mood. i'm not sure what was wrong.
